Happy Anniversary!!!

...to my in-laws...today they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary...and they love each more today then the day they married! I made this for them...not the best photo but I didn't want to take out the glass again so we'll just have to do with the glares.

This week has been a busy week getting ready for my Dad's Golf Benefit on Sunday, and last night I was so tired, but gave in to letting the kids pop some popcorn out on the firepit...they loved it!

We'll definatly be doing this again :D

Finally it feels like summer!

Yesterday afternoon I made my first gallon of sun tea out on the back patio! Yes...that is a gallon peanut butter jar - PERFECT for making tea!

...awwwhhhh it was so refreshing...do you add sugar to your tea...I don't :)

I haven't been making too much stuff lately but I did manage to make these money holders.

...these are going to someone very special :)
Well I'm exhausted and think I better call it a night!

Happy Father's Day 2010

We had a great day celebrating {TOGETHER} Only one thing was missing...Mona and her family. We wish she could have been with us too!

My parents and Gina and her family came over for a nice lunch...and of course we all watched the US Open...

My Dad sat at the head of the table so he could still watch TV while he ate.

...and a yummy dessert...the Infamous Mississippi Mudcake...this time in the form of cupcakes!

...what crazy boys! They sure had us laughing!
My beautiful niece Kaitie...
Mr. Mason...already enjoying the Mississippi Mud Cake!
Camryn and her strawberries...

Today before everyone arrived we gave my Dad his gift and the kids all made him a special card.
...taking a rest...my mom is always there to make sure he is comfortable!
It was a beautiful day - even if the sun didn't shine and the wind blew! I am so glad we were all together and just enjoying one another.
Tomorrow I will have to share some more about our day...but now I need to say "good night".

SRM Card Sketch Challenge

I have heard so many great things about these stickers...I really need to get myself some! I just went through the blog hop and WOW...the design team is amazing! I decided to play along in this weekends card sketch challenge...here's the sketch...

...and my card...(sorry I couldn't get a better photo...it was already dark out when I finished up.)

A father's love is patient...

Here's a Father's Day card...I've got two more to make! My Father in Law gets this one...he's leaving tomorrow for a trip to Southern California...so we are giving it to him tonight! I just can not get enough of the new October Afternoon lines...love them!

Summer's here...

...but you couldn't tell it from the clouds and the temperatures. The kids' last day of school was last Friday...we started the summer off by spending the evening at "Relay for Life" honoring my dad who is fighting Stage 4 Brain Cancer. This has been a battle...a battle we are hoping my Dad will continue to fight...a battle he will WIN. There's no cure for Glioblastoma...I hate having to put all my trust and hope into the doctor's hands...but I pray every day that the doctors know what they are doing and what they are doing is helping. Here's some of my favorite pictures from the night.

...on Saurday morning we drove up to Leavenworth to celebrate with Ted and Ashley (my BIL and now new SIL) they had a beautiful wedding...the weather couldn't have been more beautiful.

...and last but certainly not least a new project of mine is up at the October Afternoon Blog...today its a LO "U3 in the sunshine"

I did two of my favorite things on this LO...adding pattern papers (I used both Go Fly A Kite and Thrift Shop) to kraft and of course making flowers! Hope you all have a super day! Thanks for stopping by :)
